Often, yes. For partial remodels we phase the work, seal off construction zones, and keep a working kitchen or bath available whenever possible. For full gut remodels involving major electrical, plumbing, or structural work, moving out for part of the project is usually faster and cheaper in the end — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in before work starts.

It comes down to the condition of the foundation and structure, how much of the layout you're changing, and budget. As a rough rule: if you're changing more than 60–70% of the home, a rebuild deserves a serious look. Since we do both, we can price the comparison for you without a bias toward either answer.

Yes — structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work all require permits from the City of Flagstaff (or Coconino County outside city limits). We handle all permitting and inspections as part of the project. Unpermitted work can haunt you at resale, so we don't cut that corner.
