TINDLE REMODEL: GENERAL CONTRACTOR Remodel Flagstaff

This is a 1,200 square foot single-family home in Flagstaff. On paper, it's a modest size. The problem was that the original layout made it feel even smaller than it was — compartmentalized rooms, closed-off spaces, a floor plan that just didn't work for the way people actually live.

The client wanted a full renovation. Not a refresh, not a cosmetic update — down to the studs. Everything out, everything rebuilt. They wanted the home to feel open, functional, and modern without adding square footage. Just make better use of what was already there.

That's exactly what we did. We stripped the home back to the frame and rebuilt it from the inside out. The biggest change was the floor plan itself — we opened up the closed layout to create a connected living space that flows the way it should. The difference in how the home feels is significant. Same footprint, but it doesn't feel tight anymore. Natural light moves through the space, rooms connect to each other, and the whole house feels more inviting.

The bathrooms got a full overhaul. We kept the finishes elegant and modern — clean lines, quality materials, nothing overdone. Granite countertops throughout. Every finish was chosen to complement the new open layout and hold up over time, which matters in Flagstaff where homes work hard year-round.

Building in Flagstaff at 7,000 feet means permits, inspections, and code requirements specific to a mountain environment. We handled all of it — permits pulled, inspections passed, no surprises for the client. That's the standard.

Start to finish, this project took five months. The client got a home that feels completely different from what they started with — brighter, more functional, finished well. Same square footage, entirely different experience.
